Floristic Diversity in the S. Giuseppe Quarry of Basovizza

The limestone S. Giuseppe Quarry, in Trieste Karst, has been recently restored and chosen to establish a model method for vegetation monitoring focused on wild plant adaptations in the rehabilitation habitats. In particular, plant ability in reconstituting different vegetation types typical of the Karst landscape, were studied. The aim of this work was to define a monitoring method able to: i) study the succession stages of vegetation; ii) improve restoration management for best practices in limestone quarries.(la pubblicazione è la versione in inglese del volume La diversità floristica nella cava S. Giuseppe di Basovizza presente in questa collana).
